lucie j. charles fell in love with reading at the age of five, with Nancy Drew at the age of eight, and with romance, well, sooner than her mother thought acceptable.

She recently moved from North Carolina to North Dakota and is still adjusting to the change. An announcement on the weather channel about a “Spring Snowstorm” sounded suspiciously like an impossible oxymoron to her. The reality, although beautiful, was a bit of a shock and recuperation has been slow. Writing has helped her maintain her sanity in the adjustment process.
